As an outdoorsman, nothing beats that thrill of new trails and fresh air while being wrapped in the bosom of nature. So it felt like time now to invest in really good gear that would add to my time outdoors. Fjällräven Keb Eco-Shell Trousers – the moment had come to get these into operation.
I slipped into these trousers, and it just felt right. The material is light yet tough to allow full movement without constriction. I had a weekend hike planned in the mountains, and considering that the weather couldn’t be relied upon, I needed something that would see me through. The Eco-Shell material – waterproof and with good ventilation-sounded just right for what I had in mind.
As I set off hiking, the weather started off crisp and cool, for which I was prepared. The trousers kept me dry until the unexpected opening of the skies finally decided to let loose. And second, due to adjustable cuffs, which can be pulled tight over the hiking boots, possible debris could not enter.
The steep inclines and rocky terrain were negotiated, all with smiles, not because of the tough hike but due to how great that was in those trousers, which had that perfect blend of functionality and style that made me feel confident and capable on the trail.
The views from the top were just as thrilling as the trek getting there had been in my Keb Eco-Shell Trousers; truly, the pants made my adventure a whole lot more enjoyable by not focusing on possible discomfort with my gear.
I look back on that hike and realize proper equipment can make all the difference between an outdoor outing and an experience.
