In this time and economic climate, everyone is super preoccupied with getting their money up. Including myself and my friends. The level of inflation is alarming and we need to get productive to keep up.
The situation has continuously prevented us from spending enough quality time together. This issue of quality time goes as far back as the end of the lockdown era. We needed a new way to hang out that matched with everyone’s busy schedules.
During the lockdown, we found Teleparty. It is a browser extension that allows you to connect a video streaming app, connect with your friends while you all watch a movie of choice at the same time.
It is heaven sent for long distance relationships and schedule mismatches. Since the lockdown period till present day, I have a movie date at least once every two weeks on Teleparty with my friends in other countries. It has helped us a ton because sometimes, there is just nothing to catch up about- you just need to do something together. Teleparty is our something.
The extension has a chat room where we can converse while the movie is on. We share thoughts and laughs. The whole thing is also very synchronized. Once one person pauses the movie, it gets paused for everyone else. So we are watching the same movie at the same pace like we are at a cinema or in the same room.
