Whenever my friends and I plan a game night, we always end up on a night drive blasting nostalgic music. We are very competitive people so the break in transmission is always needed.
Our forever go-to music app is Spotify. We get karaoke-style lyrics, a great shuffle function and playlists that just get the vibe going. Spotify has really become a must-have at our game nights.
We make use of Spotify Premium so we can get uninterrupted music- those mid-playlist ads can be very sobering. The playlist always manages to play the right songs at the right moments, from upbeat tunes during intense games to nostalgic throwbacks that make us all think about our past relationships.
With Spotify’s lyrics function, it is always a spontaneous karaoke session. We can easily follow along with the lyrics on the screen and everyone belts out their favorite songs or laughs at forgotten lyrics from old-school hits.
Whenever we select a playlist, we almost never exhaust all the songs on it- that is a big win. Whether it is a curated list of 90s classics, new hits, or even theme-specific playlists, Spotify always has something that brings back memories, cools off the tension or gets us hyped for the rest of the games. It is like having a DJ at our fingertips, and it never fails to make our game nights even more fun.
Honestly, game nights would not be the same without Spotify. It just adds that extra layer of fun and connection that keeps the night going. It’s a 10/10!
You really need to add Spotify as a DJ in your next game night. I am positive that you will love it, really.
