I came across the Inflatable Car Air Mattress with Electric Pump when my wife and I decided to look for something suitable for our two small children to be sleeping on during long family road trips. Normally, our hyperactive two- and five-year-olds don’t sleep well when we travel, and this fact makes them cranky and tired by the time we reach our destination.
I liked this mattress because it fitted optimally within the limited space offered by the rear seats section of our family car. When in use, it was quite comfortable for sleeping in because it was easily inflated by the supplied electric pump. On the other hand, when not in use, it’s thin enough to be stored easily. However, when using it, it’s important to secure it properly to prevent movement.
Importantly, my children found the car mattress experience quite cozy even in hot weather because we could roll down the car windows or, when the draft was unusually strong, roll up and use the car fan. As demanding as it can be to travel with small children, it was a thrill to witness the joy and excitement in our kids from this unusual outdoor experience.
At our destination, we often improvised the use of the mattress as a picnic mat because it’s made up of high-quality waterproof materials. Overall, having the mattress around has made managing the children much easier. We laugh more, and the incidents of irritability due to our young kids lacking quality sleep have become a thing of the past.
